9 Wrestling Moments Involving Future Stars When They Were Young
3. Mick Foley Jumping Off A Roof
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waakFr6PmUw It's a very famous story that most wrestling fans have heard of. When Mick Foley was a teenager he went to Madison Square Garden to watch his favorite wrestler Jimmy Snuka jump off the top of a steel cage onto his rival Don Muraco. There are clips of the move that show Foley in the crowd although it's not like it's a close up or anything like that. When Foley had dreams of being a wrestler in the 1980s, he had his friends film a video of Foley jumping off the roof of his house. It was a video that WWE showed on their TV shows as a way to show fans that he was a guy who always dreamed of being a wrestler. The thinking was that if fans saw that he was just a regular guy who wanted to wrestler that it would make him more appealing. It worked because he became more popular after we knew more about him. The Foley jumping video is one of those things that a lot of people didn't like seeing because it set a bad example for kids. It's not a safe thing to do, yet some kids were probably influenced by it.
