9 WWE Gimmicks That Are Totally DEAD

4. The Street Profits As Happy Go Lucky Faces

Here's a rare example on the list of when ongoing change looks like it might work.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are being retooled as part of Bobby Lashley’s reimagined Hurt Business/yet-to-be-named faction. It’s a refreshing change that’s long overdue, because they were starting to feel staler than week old bread as happy go lucky babyfaces.

There were only so many times the pair could chime in about WWE's latest sponsorship campaign or rain Solo Cups down from the heavens before everyone went, 'Right what's next?'. What's next is becoming even better backup to Bobby than Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander ever were, and that's a step in the right direction.

Unlike say...New Day, who built a natural charm all of their own over years of top performances as faces, The Street Profits can never go back to the borderline mediocrity they experienced towards the end there. It just isn't compelling enough, and doesn't need a reprise 18 months from now.
