9 WWE Stars Who Just Needed The Right Manager To Get Over Huge

7. Test

It's amazing to think that Test was basically a career midcarder and only intermittently flirted with the main event scene (which never lasted long). Considering Test was 6ft6in tall, was made from almost 300lbs of shredded muscle and had a lovely head of hair (at one point), you'd think that Vince McMahon would have been falling over himself in order to push him to the top. After half a year kicking about in the tag ranks, Test was given a more high-profile role as the love interest of Stephanie McMahon. This included a big SummerSlam street fight with Shane McMahon and the infamous hijacked wedding on Raw. Test looked like he was set to do battle with Triple H but there conflict was rather hurriedly scrapped. Test never again got to that level. WWE instead threw him in tag teams and gave him half-hearted pushes as a singles wrestler. As a member of T & A (with Albert), he was overshadowed by the Hardys and Dudleys of the world, as well as his own manager, the delectable Trish Stratus. It was a case of deja vu when he was paired with real-life girlfriend Stacy Keibler in 2003. She was the one who was getting all the attention with her long legs and short skirts. Test was just the guy in tights who accompanied Stacy to the ring, no matter how hard WWE or Stacy tried to put him over to his legions of supposed 'Testicles'. He was also very, very briefly managed/guided by Paul Heyman in WWECW, before he was fired for failing a wellness policy test. If he'd had somebody like a Heyman representing him a little earlier, his career might have went a little differently.
