Ortons first eliminations came during his days in Evolution and into the early years of his Legend Killer gimmick, thus demonstrating perfectly how the Survivor Series concept can be used to build an up-and-coming star. He would continue to pick up eliminations as he rose through the ranks, picking up a pair in 2008 and 2009, this time in a more seasoned role as the leader of the Legacy faction. His best year though arrived in 2011, when he knocked off Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger and Hunicoalthough he ultimately fell to Wade Barretts Wasteland, in what was something of a passing-of-the-torch moment. But the bottom line is that throughout his career, whether as the fledging rookie or the seasoned veteran, eliminations have never eluded the Apex Predator. And though rumours persist that hes looking to wind things down, at 35 years old he still has plenty of time to extend this record should he choose to.
