5. WWWF U.S.A. Heavyweight Championship
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTD7FbwQHd4 Commonly referred to as the United States Championship, the belt acted as the World Wide Wrestling Federations secondary title -- behind the WWWF World Heavyweight Championship. Despite the similar name, this belt -- introduced in 1963 -- has no connection to WWEs current US title. The United States Championship was often associated with the likes of Bobo Brazil. Bobo was an extremely popular babyface of the era, but unfortunately always seemed to play second fiddle to Bruno Sammartino -- although he did have an
unrecognized reign as the NWA World Champion in 1962. However, Brazil become the winningest United States Champion in the Federations history with a total of 7 reigns spread over more than 4,000 days. Despite not reaching the heights of Sammartinos World Championship, Bobo was just as successful with the United States belt. Brazil become the first holder of the title on April 6, 1963 and was also the last person to hold the strap when it was retired in March of 67. Just prior to the titles dissolution, it was won by Pedro Morales -- a tournament was held following the belt being vacated. However, Morales gave up the gold just one month later when he captured the WWWF World Heavyweight title after defeating Ivan Koloff. Just ten days after Morales left the belt behind, it was awarded to Bobo Brazil before being retired weeks later.
