A Brief History Of World Wrestling All-Stars

3. Unification

By the time the fourth PPV, The Retribution, had come around, Jeff Jarrett and Jeremy Borash had begun to make waves back in the States with NWA: TNA and the show, particularly in hindsight, had a noticeable TNA influence to it.

In a sign of things to come, the Scottish PPV included bouts involving the likes of future TNA stalwarts, Shark Boy and Kazarian, while it also featured Jeff Jarrett defending the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship. Despite the WWA Championship match sitting in the main event spot, the TNA flavour was a clear indication of the direction the fledgling company was taking.

The final WWA PPV, The Reckoning, was a unification show, essentially resulting in WWA unofficially merging with NWA: TNA. The TNA X-Division Champion, Chris Sabin, defeated Johnny Swinger, Kazarian and WWA International Cruiserweight Champion, Jerry Lynn, to unify the mid-card championships. Meanwhile, NWA Champ, Jeff Jarrett, downed Sting to unify the NWA Title with the WWA Championship in the main event.

By the time the PPV had finished recording, WWA had comprehensibly passed the torch to Jarrett and co., merging their legacy with TNA's and closing the books on the brief yet memorable run of WWA.
