Advertised Grudge Match SCRAPPED At WWE Raw XXX

Don't worry fans, the feud (most likely) must continue.

Heading into WWE Raw's 30th anniversary show, only three matches were announced, two title bouts and a steel cage match between bitter rivals Becky Lynch and Bayley.

The title matches bookended Raw as advertised, but the women's cage match never got out of the starting blocks. Bayley's Damage CTRL cohorts Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky jumped Lynch outside the ring and beat her down, then sent her inside the cage and locked the door for a 3-on-1 assault while officials desperately tried to break the chain.

The feud between Lynch and Bayley should be a hot rivalry, but it has felt anything but these past few weeks. Playing bait-and-switch with an advertised cage match on a big show like Raw XXX likely isn't going to heat things up. If anything, it has a better chance of frustrating fans and turning people off.

You'd have to assume this means the feud must continue and we'll get a proper rematch between the two former women's champions. But this feud just feels like it's sputtering about when it should be one of the hottest things on Raw. It's not fair to two super-talented wrestlers.
