AEW: 10 Things You Didn’t Know About MJF

1. He Was Finn Bálor’s Paint Model

The sort of detailed, beautiful body art that has become a trademark of Finn Bálor’s Demon King persona is a long way from the old school face paints of Sting or The Ultimate Warrior. It’s also clearly not the kind of thing you can just throw together at the last minute.

Bálor works with spraypaint artist Orlando Pagan to create his unique looks and no appearance by the Demon is quite the same as the last. Having firmly established the gimmick in NXT, SummerSlam 2016 was set to be The Demon King’s biggest showcase by some distance. It makes sense that they might want to test run his latest incarnation.

With Finn presumably too busy preparing for his Universal Title clash with Seth Rollins, MJF’s body was the canvas to test out his Demon body paint. A photo subsequently surfaced online featuring a deadpan MJF in full demon guise.

It’s a break from the norm for a guy who normally rocks a much more stripped back, traditional look. The most exotic gear you can usually hope to see on MJF is a pair of hot pink trunks.
