AEW's Cleaner isn't going anywhere... yet.

All Elite Wrestling's Tony Khan has decided to add Kenny Omega's injury time to his current deal.

That's according to the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, with Dave Meltzer reporting that the AEW President has opted to exercise an option in the star's deal that allows for the contract to be extended based on time being unavailable due to injury.

This news comes in the wake of it being reported last week that WWE were said to be keeping an eye on the AEW EVP's status with their biggest rivals, with Omega's deal originally set to expire on January 31st.

However, said injury time being added to his current deal will now keep The Cleaner in AEW for a little while longer. Though it isn't known precisely how much time has been added to his contract at time of writing, with Meltzer stating that, whilst very much working under contract, the amount of additional time "hasn't been finalized."

Omega was out of action for about nine months from November 2021 to August 2022 thanks to a number of injuries that needed surgery and rehab to get The Elite member back to his best.

And when clarifying whether Dave thought more time could be added due to Kenny's suspension following All Out 2022, his belief, while still not 100% sure, was that the company wouldn't be able to extend the contract further due to that particular absence.

Kenny will now line-up alongside The Young Bucks to defend their AEW Trios Championships against The House of Black at Revolution 2023 next Sunday.
