AEW All Out 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen

8. Thunder Rosa Wins The Women's Title

There's no easy way to say this, so here goes: AEW's female division is a bit crap. Don't start foaming at the mouth or preparing hate mail, because that's not as unfair as it sounds at first glance. Riho sucked as the inaugural champ, AEW didn't really get behind Nyla Rose and Hikaru Shida, whilst solid in-ring, is another bland option.

Thunder Rosa, meanwhile, is anything but bland. She ticks a lot of boxes and could help rescue the entire women's scene from mediocrity by becoming a dual NWA and AEW Champion. Her match with Serena Deeb on the latest episode of Dynamite was one of the most robust this division has ever produced.

Is that saying much? No, not really, but it's a start.

AEW should move on from Shida, start building a newcomer and hope that Rosa has the spark that ignites the entire scene. They could certainly do with some more characters; WWE's female locker room has AEW licked there. It's time for that to change.
