AEW All Out 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

8. Jade Cargill Slips Down The Card

Concerns were expressed when AEW slapped some goons behind Jade Cargill (her 'Baddies') and had her act just a wee bit too cowardly. That contradicted her prior booking, but it's not the only change Tony Khan has made. Stokely Hathaway replacing Mark Sterling as her mouthpiece is another.

Why? Jade can talk.

Regardless of who's in her corner, Cargill must hold onto that TBS Title. She's been synonymous with the thing since day dot, and it'd be a total waste if this clumsy feud opposite Athena (one which also involved Kris Statlander until she got waylaid by injuries) was the end point of Jade's mighty push.

The unbeaten champ story has been undercooked during promos with Athena anyway, so it won't really register with fans if she takes the strap on Sunday. AEW really shouldn't be booking title changes for the sake of it, and that's what this switch would come across as.

Keep that belt where it is.
