AEW All Out: Britt Baker Vs. Big Swole To Be A Cinematic Match

And here's why it's going down on the Buy In pre-show, not the main card...

Britt Baker vs. Big Swole was officially confirmed for AEW All Out 2020 on last night's go-home episode of Dynamite. Going down on the Buy In pre-show rather than the main card, it has been strapped with an ambiguous "Tooth And Nail Match" stipulation.

We may not find out what this entails, exactly, until the show itself, though today's All Out media conference call saw Tony Khan confirm it'll be a cinematic bout.

AEW made the decision to go in this direction rather than presenting a straight-up wrestling bout to protect Baker. The good doctor is currently recovering from a broken leg, with Khan noting that last night's assault on Swole was her first physical pro-wrestling activity since suffering the injury. Presumably, he doesn't want to put her through the rigmarole of a more traditional bout, so we're getting the Tooth And Nail gimmick.

The AEW President pushed this as an important part of the show, saying he was positioning what he felt was an exciting bout on the Buy In to convince viewers to pay for the whole show. The positioning is more about the tone of the match, not status, and while the duo are capable of having a traditionally excellent bout, Khan promised this clash will be "different and a lot of fun."
