Result: Jericho kills Page with The Judas Effect to become the first ever AEW Champion (26:25).

Rating: This was yet another smartly-booked Jericho slugfest that proved he can still operate at a shockingly high level while creatively working around his physical limitations.

It was too long, yes, but there was a clear attempt to evoke the feel of an epic NJPW main event, and they certainly achieved that for the most part.

The Judas Effect continues to be a totally flat finisher, though, ending the match on a bit of a whimper even if Jericho's win was the right call.

By no means a particularly memorable main event, but it did what it needed to by confirming Jericho as AEW's marquee heel moving forward. A smart decision if there ever was one. 7/10
