AEW Among Top Live Sports Events On HBO Max, Dynamite TV Ratings Average 634,000 In 2025 (AEW News)
AEW's exact HBO Max numbers won't be disclosed, but it seemingly performs well.
AEW programming has reportedly ranked amongst the top live sporting events on HBO Max since debuting on the streaming platform on 1 January.
This is according to Fightful Select, whose report is positive and comes from sources at AEW's broadcasting partner, Warner Bros. Discovery. WBD stations TNT and TBS have aired AEW's weekly television products since the Tony Khan-helmed promotion's 2019 inception.
Fightful note that WBD is keeping official Max viewing figures "close to the vest, even within the company." No viewing figures for AEW on Max have gone public since AEW arrived on the platform.
AEW programming now simulcasts on TNT/TBS and Max. To date, Dynamite has posted the following ratings in 2025:
1 January: 588,000 viewers, 0.16 P18-49 rating.
8 January: 615,000 viewers, 0.17 P18-49 rating.
15 January: 679,000 viewers, 018 P18-49 rating.
22 January: 655,000 viewers, 0.19 P18-49 rating.
Averages: 634,000 viewers, 0.17 P18-49 rating.
These numbers do not include HBO Max viewers. This complicates analysis and makes comparisons difficult, as conventional Nielsen ratings are no longer a complete reflection of Dynamite's total viewership. This will be the case as long as WBU decides to keep Max viewing figures private.
Comparing 2025's viewership figures to 2024's has become apples to oranges for both major North American promotions. AEW's reported 2025 numbers are incomplete without HBO Max data. WWE Raw, meanwhile, is the subject of Nielsen reporting in the United States following the show's move to Netflix. While Nielsen reports only live and same-day DVR/on-demand viewing for the United States only, Netflix, via its Tudum site, counts viewers globally across seven days - and only if shows perform well enough to finish in the top 10. These figures cannot be compared to previous USA Network data as the calculation method is completely different.
AEW's new media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery is worth a reported $185 million annually.
