Sonny Kiss shockingly turned heel on this week's episode of AEW Rampage.
Kiss lost a short match to All Elite newcomer Parker Boudreaux earlier in the show - then, following Orange Cassidy's win over Ari Daivari, Boudreaux, Daivari and Slim J attacked Best Friends. It looked like Sonny was going to rush out and help them, but Kiss hit Orange with a low blow and posed with some new pals.
Later, via Twitter, Sonny said: "I did the right thing. I chose WINNERS!".
There's no doubting that this is way more interesting than anything Kiss had been doing before. The wrestler hadn't really been used much by AEW, so it makes sense to try on a heel run and see if there's anything there on that side of things.
However, this does also mean that Tony Khan just booked yet another stable on his product. The AEW boss bloody loves a faction, but there's no clues yet on whether or not this will help Kiss, Boudreaux, Slim and Ari lands spots on major programs like Dynamite regularly.
They'll be going by the TrustBusters name, at least for now.
