Anthony Bowens may have aggravated a shoulder injury while wrestling Swerve Strickland on last night's AEW Dynamite.

Strickland targeted the joint as part of the match's story, wrenching the arm several times. This ultimately led to him scoring the pinfall victory via JML Driver.

Fightful Select has since reported on talk that Bowens had indeed been injured during the clash. There is currently no way of being completely certain, however, and at this stage, it may simply be part of a story.

The situation comes a few days before Bowens and his Acclaimed tag team partner Max Caster defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against Swerve In Our Glory at Full Gear 2022 (19 November). This will be their third bout in as many months, with Swerve and Keith Lee defeating The Acclaimed at All Out 2022, the babyfaces taking the gold with a win at Grand Slam two weeks later, and now Full Gear.

Knee issues previously sidelined Bowens from AEW action in 2021 and 2022. Whether or not his latest injury is legitimate, the tone of The Acclaimed's feud with Swerve In Our Glory means fans should expect it to play into the pay-per-view bout's story.
