Former Ring of Honor Pure Champion Josh Woods has signed a tiered agreement with All Elite Wrestling, reports Fightful Select.

This news comes following Woods' Dynamite debut on last night's Fight for the Fallen special. The 33-year-old seemingly aligned himself with Tony Nese during the show, with a backstage assault on Keith Lee potentially setting the new duo up for a shot at Swerve in our Glory's AEW World Tag Team Titles.

Woods ambushed Lee while Swerve Strickland was wrestling Nese and Mark Sterling in a handicap bout. Strickland had little trouble dispensing with the heels, working some competitive sequences with Nese before taking him out of play, allowing him an easy victory over Sterling. The cameras then cut to Lee, who was laid out backstage with Woods standing over him. Nese seized the moment, attacking Strickland before dropping his Tag Team Title belt atop his body, teasing the match.

Fightful note that Woods has been on his tiered AEW deal for around a month.

Josh already has six AEW matches on his record, though all of them have taken place on Dark. He was defeated by Wheeler Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship at Supercard Of Honor in April. Then, at Death Before Dishonor last Saturday, he served as a judge as Yuta faced Daniel Garcia.
