AEW Double Or Nothing 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

9. Wardlow Gets Some Stability

Hey, Tony...can we have some decorum around here?! Big Wardlow badly needs some stability, because the way his last TNT Title reign was handled? Yeah, it sucked, and so did Powerhouse Hobbs' brief run with the belt too. It'd be a huge mistake to shove that thing on Christian Cage for the sake of it here.

Cage holding TNT sounds fun at some point, but not this weekend. It's real important that Wardlow (who has been struggling to match early fan support for his "Powerbomb Symphony" stuff) gets the win in this ladder bout and starts rebuilding some momentum that previously looked lost to the sands of time.

Enough messing about, AEW.

Wardlow can even bump Luchasaurus if necessary. He's on that match graphic for a reason, surely. The dino's presence should help both champ and challenger weave in some tasty callbacks to some of Christian's most famous career landmarks, actually. Why not?
