All Elite Wrestling have confirmed that the main event of the 'Blood & Guts' edition of Dynamite will feature The Inner Circle Vs The Elite in an as-yet-unknown stipulation cage match.
The company formalised the match with a graphic on their official Twitter account having first promoted the show (itself a cheeky jibe at Vince McMahon's dismissive take on the organisation last year) during the Revolution pay-per-view, months removed from Cody referencing a "match beyond" during promotion for his Full Gear AEW Championship clash with Chris Jericho. For the uninitiated, the term refers to how the closing moments of the original WarGames matches were marketed by NWA/WCW and match originator Dusty Rhodes.
Reactions were positive towards the news, if a little reserved on the combatants - tensions between the factions peaked long ago, with this match-before-the-feud philosophy more akin to WWE's regular booking pattern - something AEW persistently - and sometimes, pettily - operate in total opposition of. The company will outline the exact rules on this week's edition of Dynamite, and will likely reheat the programme as they work towards the March 25th deadline.
