AEW Dynamite Falls To Lowest Rating Ever
Friday night + 10pm + NBA playoffs + mediocre card = an AEW Dynamite ratings collapse.

AEW Dynamite fell to its lowest viewership ever last week, as an average of just 526,000 viewers tuned in for the pre-empted Friday night show.
In the continued absence of Showbuzz Daily, the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported the numbers on Monday evening, noting the 35.9% decline on the previous week's 821,000 viewers. Dynamite's previous all-time low was the special one-hour episode that aired on Tuesday 22 September 2020, pulling in 585,000.
For a regular two-hour, Wednesday episode, the previous low came on 24 June 2020, which hit 633,000.
As far as the key 18-49 demographic goes, Dynamite fell to another all-time low of 0.20, beating the previous record of 0.22 (also set on 24 June 2020).
Last week's Dynamite was the Double Or Nothing 2021 go-home episode. The drastic decline can be attributed to several different factors, including the unusual timeslot of 10pm on a Friday evening, competition from the ongoing NBA playoffs, and, subjectively, the lacklustre card, which appeared to be one of the least enticing Dynamite lineups in recent months.
Dynamite will also be pre-empted this week, airing once again in the Friday 10pm slot due to NBA playoff clashes on Wednesday.
