AEW Dynamite Scores Biggest Viewership Victory Over WWE NXT Since March
A huge week for AEW, though both shows posted ratings increases.
All Elite Wrestling Dynamite scored a significant ratings victory over WWE NXT this Wednesday, building on the previous week's upswing with another healthy increase.
Dynamite came through with an 18-49 rating of 0.32, up from the previous week's 0.29. This is the show's highest number since drawing the same figure on its 27 May episode. NXT also posted an increase, going from 0.14 to 0.17 though the winning margin of 0.15 remained.
Over 50s remain the only demographic in which NXT is able to consistently outdo AEW, beating Dynamite 0.33 to 0.31. AEW doubled or tripled the WWE show in some other demos.
NXT and Dynamite's combined 18-49 rating of 0.49 actually beat RAW's 0.46 this week, though this number is the lowest in the red brand's history.
As far as overall viewership goes, Dynamite went from an average of 788,000 across its two hours to 845,000, while NXT slid from 631,000 to 615,000. The 230,000 viewership gap is the widest since 18 March.
A total of 1.460 million people watched live wrestling on Wednesday evening. Quarter-hour breakdowns are yet to emerge, making it tough to determine the night's biggest individual winners and losers.
