AEW Dynamite Still Likely To Go Ahead...But With No Fans In Attendance.
Dynamite looks set to take a leaf out of WWE and the UFC's book...
This Wednesday's relocated AEW Dynamite episode in Jacksonville, FL is now expected to play out in a fan-less arena, according to Dave Meltzer.
It was reported a couple of days ago that this Wednesday's AEW Dynamite would be moving from Rochester, NY to Jacksonville, FL due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak. However, the show was still expected to be attended by fans of the promotion.
That now doesn't appear to be the case as Dave Meltzer confirmed on Twitter today.
His tweet read:
Various other sporting events all around the world - including the Premier League, NBA and more - have all been suspended indefinitely until further notice. Yet, WWE, the UFC and now AEW are all still determined to keep up appearances, with WWE and the UFC both previously committing to airing their shows from behind-closed-doors arenas.
Last night's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX was the first wrestling showed to be aired in an empty arena since the global suspensions and the atmosphere was undoubtedly unique.
AEW are yet to confirm whether their show will in fact be played out in front of no audience, but we expect a statement will be made regarding the situation very soon.
