Clashing with Kamala Harris and Mike Pence’s Vice Presidential debate resulted in significant ratings declines for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT on Wednesday night.

Dynamite fell from 0.33 to 0.31 in the key 18-49 demographic, finishing 19th amongst cable shows on the night. NXT, meanwhile, slipped out of the top 50 altogether, hitting number 56 after dropping to 0.16 from 0.19 the previous week. AEW’s rating was its lowest since 16 August, while the WWE show hasn’t been at this level since the week before that.

No further demographic information is available for NXT after finishing outside the top 50, making other comparisons impossible.

A total of 1.392 million people watched live professional wrestling on Wednesday night.

Both shows faced intense competition from the Vice Presidential Debate, which pulled over 50 million viewers across various different networks. MLB coverage on FOX and TBS outdid them as well.
