All Elite Wrestling has made some remarkably smart moves in its short tenure as a major promotion, and hiring Tully Blanchard is one of them. This decorated industry veteran brought a ton of credibility to the early days of the promotion, and fans were happy to see an icon like him being given another lease on wrestling life.

Regarding his position in The Pinnacle, Tully plays the integral role of bringing credibility and prestige to the group. As a former member of The Four Horseman, Blanchard knows a lot about being in a stable, and that's something that makes his high-ranking position in this old school-centric unit so integral.

Besides being appropriate for the part he plays, he's also in surprisingly good shape for his age. While he's far from ready to take part in a Casino Battle Royale, the former NWA United States Heavyweight Champion can still contribute to the group physically in ways that people his age often can't.

Although Shawn Spears' career under Tully didn't gain too much traction, Blanchard still gave him credibility and almost felt like the blueprint for the role he would end up playing here in The Pinnacle. He is exactly where he should be right now.
