AEW Full Gear 2021: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

8. A Random Tony Nese Match Appears

Tony Nese showed up in the crowd for his AEW debut a while back, and has since wrestled matches against DeMarcio James and Fuego Del Sol on Dark. That's not quite enough to earn him a slot on Full Gear - the guy hasn't even worked on Rampage or Dynamite yet.

Popping him on Saturday's card would be a mistake then, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. Tony Khan could look at the lay of the land, see eight bouts staring back at him and think, 'Hmm, maybe another one wouldn't hurt'. It would hurt, Tony. It really would hurt, and it's totally unnecessary.

This isn't WWE Super ShowDown.

Nese would be lost in the shuffle if he showed up at Full Gear. He was never a massive WWE star to begin with, so he needs some time to bed into the All Elite scene and find his way. Him vs. Del Sol II isn't PPV worthy, for example.
