AEW Full Gear 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

4. Ricky Starks Wins The Eliminator Tourney

AEW's youthful approach took a backseat when CM Punk was riding high as AEW World Champion. That'll change at Full Gear though, because it seems the company will crown a new champion and a legitimately fresh name as the victor in their Eliminator tournament.

Ricky Starks, baby.

It's a guess, sure, but Starks makes the most sense. He'll have tangled with Lance Archer by the time most read this, so keep in mind it was written before the 'go home' Dynamite pre-pay-per-view. Bandido will likely beat Ethan Page in the first semi final, and Brian Cage will be waiting for Ricky before Full Gear.

Then, on Saturday, it'll hopefully be Starks vs. Bandido for the right to challenge at 'Winter Is Coming'. This writer's pick would be the ex-Team Taz man. Nothing against Bandido, because he's awesome, but Starks deserves this opportunity more than he does right now.

Besides, Ricky vs. Jon Moxley or MJF sounds like a hoot.
