AEW Full Gear 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

7. Ricky Starks & Big Bill Split

Surprises can work in wrestling, obviously, but there are still heads being scratched over the sudden union between Ricky Starks and Big Bill. The latter even said on this past week's Rampage that he and Ricky could hardly be considered friends. Was that a subtle hint for what's to come rather soon?

Look, it's fine if Starks and Bill drop the titles to an established team like FTR or House Of Black at Full Gear. It really is. However, it's far too soon to have BB turn on Starks - that wouldn't land emotionally with the fans, because these lads were thrust together randomly and haven't had time to form any kind of connection.

If Bill swiftly plants a big boot on Ricky's forehead and walks out on him, few will care. There will be shrugged shoulders all over the Kia Forum, put it that way. Sadly, AEW tends to sprint through these story beats a little too quickly.

Keep an eye out for this potential turn.
