AEW Has Moved The Next Two Episodes Of Dynamite
COVID-19 crisis forces AEW's hand.
All Elite Wrestling has been forced into relocating the next two episodes of Dynamite as a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis.
The promotion confirmed this through an official statement released last night, first noting that next week's show scheduled for Rochester, New York will instead go down in AEW's Jacksonville, Florida home, and will run "under a restricted attendance policy."
On top of this, the special Blood and Guts episode originally booked for 25 March in Newark, New Jersey will be relocated as well. The promotion is yet to announce where, exactly, it'll take place, though an announcement should be forthcoming.
These announcements were made through a series of tweets, all of which can be found here.
Newark's Prudential Center was supposed to host Blood and Guts but confirmed earlier in the day that they were postponing all events through March. New York and New Jersey officials had previously discussing banning public gatherings of certain sizes, making the original Dynamites untenable.
As reported yesterday, Tony Khan has told AEW wrestlers that they next few Dynamites will be booked on a voluntary basis, with performers advised that they won't lose their push or standing in the company if they'd rather stay at home.
