Wrestling Observer chief Dave Meltzer is reporting that AEW "was told" to stop promoting Jeff Hardy "in commercials and other materials" for the time being.

News recently broke that Jeff had been arrested on DUI charges during the early hours of Monday morning this week. This is the third time in 10 years that Hardy has been apprehended by police for driving under the influence.

He's since been released on bond, but a hearing will be held on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Meltzer, WarnerMedia and AEW will no longer promote Jeff's scheduled ladder match for Wednesday's episode of Dynamite. There, Hardy had been slated to team with brother Jeff against The Young Bucks and Jurassic Express.

It doesn't look like the bout will happen. Or, at least, that Jeff will be involved in it.

Hardy's arrest report revealed that he blew .294 on an officer's breathalyser. For context, the legal limit for driving in Florida (where Jeff was arrested) is .08.

Stay tuned for more on this story when it breaks. It'll be interesting to see how AEW handles the situation, and what Tony Khan has in mind as backup for Dynamite.
