AEW Rampage's Opening Hour Finishes 1st On Cable, Ratings Fall For 2nd Hour
Another healthy round of ratings for AEW Rampage despite the expected 2nd-hour slump.
As expected, AEW Rampage's television ratings were a tale of two hours this week.
The show's special Grand Slam episode saw it extended to two hours on 24 September. It ended up drawing an average overall P2+ viewership of 640,000 across its two hours, broken down as follows:-
Hour one: 727,000
Hour two: 552,000
These hours included 420,000 and 332,000 viewers in the key 18-49 demographic respectively, making for ratings of 0.32 and 0.25. Rampage's first hour finished first on the night for original cable telecasts while its second came fourth. This means that Rampage has now featured at least one hour in the top five cable shows since launching on 13 August.
The 24 Sep show's first hour finished above the previous four-week P2+ average of 682,500 viewers with the second falling below. It was a similar story with the P18-49, with the average sitting at 0.30.
Dynamite saw similar second-hour drop-offs when pre-empted from Wednesdays to Fridays for a period earlier this year, so the dips between 10 PM and 11 PM were to be expected. Nonetheless, Rampage continues performing well amongst Friday night cable shows.
