AEW Reveals Opening Video Package For Dynamite Early

Teased with a slightly cringe-worthy social media exchange between two accounts in "cahoots", AEW has revealed the show open for Wednesday's Dynamite debut.

An extension of the striking poster revealed last week, the opening video is also inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi: a series of vibrant bursts of colour accentuate the various signature moves of the performers, including a lovely effect on Kenny Omega's V-Trigger to PAC from All Out.

It's something different to the usual, in that it isn't dark and gritty - a visual representation, perhaps, of the promised "buffet" of wrestling styles and characterisation. The soundtrack is decidedly modern pro wrestling, mind: a crunching, generic rock track with rather on-the-nose lyrics: 'Light the fuse / Bring the boom'. It gets the endorphins triggering, if nothing else, which is the point.

The characters featured may provide a clue as to who will be pushed heavily in these early months, and if you are a fan of Cody, good news: he is shown multiple times. Interestingly, Nyla Rose is featured where Riho is not, which may telegraph the result of the inaugural Women's Championship match. Britt Baker is a probable rival, on this (thin) evidence: she is also featured prominently.

Visually stunning, here's hoping the substance matches it.
