AEW Revolution 2021: 35 Things You Probably Missed

4. Slo-Mo Explosions

It's worth saying that AEW's slow-mo replays make WWE's look rather rubbish.

WWE have this nasty habit of speeding things up right at the tail end of the repeat. That hides any potential botches (like punches/kicks not connecting) and gives the illusion of maximum impact, but it removes the best part of slow-mo. Namely, the actual bump itself and the aftermath.

At Revolution, Mox was shown booting Kenny Omega into the barbed wire. The way AEW's directors lingered on the slow motion effect long enough to show the explosion was bad ass. They sped it up after that, which was also fine.
