AEW Revolution 2021 To Change Dates?
AEW Revolution 2021 may not be going down on 27 February after all.
All Elite Wrestling is on the verge of moving the upcoming Revolution 2021 pay-per-view off the original date of 27 February.
This is according to Dave Meltzer, whose writes in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he has heard either 6 or 7 March at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida mentioned. This is yet to be confirmed.
There's no word on why, exactly, AEW is switching dates.
Sting and Darby Allin's Street Fight with Team Taz's Ricky Starks and Brian Cage became the first full match to be announced for Revolution 2021 yesterday. The Young Bucks are also set to defend their AEW World Tag Team Titles against opponents to be confirmed via battle royal at Beach Break on 3 February.
Held on 29 February 2020, the original Revolution remains one of AEW's most critically acclaimed shows. The tag team match between The Young Bucks and Hangman Page and Kenny Omega was immediately hailed as one of the greatest of all time and while the other bouts didn't quite hit those lofty plaudits, other highlights included PAC vs. Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho.
