AEW Revolution 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

4. The Blood Gets Kinda Awkward

Awkward or it takes away from the main event.

Jon Moxley must be contractually-obliged to bleed all over the place every time he wrestles these days, or something. He isn't, of course, but Mox can't resist spilling claret like this is 1985, he's Ric Flair and Abdullah The Butcher is standing across the ring.

That's fine, and a modest amount of blood does suit his 'Texas Deathmatch' stip vs. Hangman Page, but...there's this little thing called "too much". Pro wrestling is seldom aware of it, and that means Jon will probs bleed, bleed and then bleed some more as Renee Paquette rolls her eyes somewhere in the building.

Moxley and Page will use blood in this match, because obviously they will. Keeping it to respectable levels would be smart though, especially because MJF and Bryan Danielson might need a little bit of colour themselves later on in the same show.

No match is more important than the headliner.
