AEW Revolution 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

3. Revolution Is 872 Hours Long

That headliner is set to be 60 minutes long. If AEW traditions are followed on the night, then that'll make MJF vs. Danielson a quarter of Revolution's running time bell-to-bell, and that's before one considers the hype package/entrances/aftermath accompanying the actual match.

This, in effect, means Tony Khan has approx three hours of airtime to work with for six other bouts. Alternatively, he might cut Revolution's run time down just a little and make it a three-three and a half hour show from start to finish. Everyone would appreciate that, because there's no call for this pay-per-view to last upwards of four-four and a half.

There's value for money, then there's overkill.

One fear could be Khan's lack of restraint. He means well, and wants to give customers more bang for their buck, but Revolution is really a one or two-match card with some extras. It doesn't need to last 872 hours and end just in time for Wednesday's Dynamite.
