Some wrestling fans might throw their hands up in disinterest when hearing that AEW's Cima is also contracted to China's Oriental Wrestling Entertainment. Don't let the lack of press for OWE in the west fool you; just like the country's footy league (the CSL), there's a ton of financial backing behind the wrestling outfit.

That makes Cima, who has worked extensively in ROH and Dragon Gate in his native Japan, a deceptively shrewd capture.

Cima has excellent contacts AEW can use to draft in new talent that hasn't really been seen much in North America. As any independent guru knows, that's a major plus point. Fans scouring the indy scene for new wrestlers to follow love fresh blood, and Cima has some pals who are perfect.
