AEW announced it had signed Serena to a contract on 21 September. She appeared on this week’s episode of Dark, defeating KiLynn King, though CAGEMATCH lists this show as being taped on 10 September.

This comes on the back of a difficult week for AEW, COVID-wise, with Lance Archer announcing a positive test result prior to the regular Wednesday episode of Dynamite, forcing a reshuffle. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba reported yesterday that a number of wrestlers present at the promotion’s 9 September television tapings had tested positive, though not necessarily at Daily’s Place.
