AEW Star Says There's 'No Chance' Of In-Ring Return
You'll never see this ex-worker wrestle or take bumps inside an AEW ring.
AEW announcer Taz has ruled out ever working a match or taking a bump inside one of Tony Khan's rings. That's just not something the 55-year old, who admits he "lives in pain every day", is interested in - Taz is much more into the thought of helping his son Hook develop as a pro wrestler.
No more Taz-plexes or Tazmissions then.
That won't come as a huge shocker to many, but it is something the former ECW great gets asked about regularly by fans. Taz, as Tazz (they loved that extra 'z') last worked a match for WWE at the One Night Stand 2006 pay-per-view. That night, he squashed Jerry Lawler in just 35 seconds.
You won't be seeing anything of the sort on AEW Dynamite, Rampage or pay-per-view though. Taz described wrestling as "a young person's business", and told Twitter there's "not a shot" he steps between the ropes for anything physical ever again.
Taz went on to put Hook over by saying he's way more athletic and talented in-ring than he ever was. The one-time WWE commentator has zero designs on working again himself.
