All Elite Wrestling has teased fans by tweeting out what looks like it could be a glimpse of a new title belt design.

The promotion posted the following photograph late on Wednesday night, offering no further information:-

That this looks like a strap has got the wheels of speculation turning. Perhaps we'll hear more on what this relates to on this week's episode of Dynamite, which is another pre-empted Friday night show due to the ongoing NBA playoffs.

If AEW is about to introduce a new title, trios championships would be the most obvious choice. Such belts have reportedly been in the works for a long time, with the division rumoured back in early 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic shut wrestling down to a degree, forcing promotions into empty and sparsely-populated arenas.

The speculation has been simmering away ever since then, with Cody Rhodes hinting heavily at the belts ("we've got a lot of teams...") on his pre-Double Or Nothing 2021 media call.

Women's tag team titles could be another possibility, though that scene isn't half as deep as the trios division in AEW, which would immediately benefit from several readymade teams.
