AEW and media partners Warner Bros. Discovery are locked in negotiations over a new television rights deal for the Tony Khan-helmed wrestling promotion.

Fightful Select's WBD sources have indicated as much. This has been the case for a while, with the conversations seemingly "ongoing for months," leading, potentially, to an official announcement in summer or autumn.

Warner is understood to be very happy with AEW and how its shows have performed. In particular, WBD is appreciative of AEW's flexibility in altering its shows, providing new content, and working around necessary preemptions.

Fightful notes that WBD has "plenty of say and influence over AEW programming," evidenced by the network's role in prior crossovers and talent that have or haven't been featured on AEW shows. For their part, AEW has shown flexibility when it comes to overruns and other WBD requests.

The deal is understood to be heading towards a 'huge money increase for AEW, by the way things are looking now," as noted by a source.

AEW added Collision to its rotation of programming on Warner Bros. Discovery this June, with the Saturday night brand joining Dynamite on Wednesdays and Rampage on Fridays.
