Brock Lesnar & Oba Femi Prepare For HELL At WWE SummerSlam 2026 (WWE News)

Lesnar vs. Femi III set for WWE SummerSlam... in Hell in a Cell.

While he may not have made an appearance to cost Oba Femi the King of the Ring in recent weeks, Brock Lesnar made his WWE return on last night's Raw. And not just that, but the Beast has put in motion a huge Hell in a Cell match against Oba at SummerSlam.

With Femi and Lesnar tied at 1-1, and given how the Ruler has spent the past several weeks calling Brock out, many fans presumed Lesnar would ultimately screw Oba out of the King of the Ring, be that in one of the earlier rounds or possibly in the final at Night of Champions over the weekend. That didn't come to pass, and Oba Femi picked up a clean win over Jey Uso at Night of Champions to be crowned the 2026 King of the Ring.

However, Brock Lesnar turned up on Raw last night, hyping up Oba Femi after his King of the Ring win, saying that, while he doesn't watch the product, Paul Heyman has been keeping Brock up to speed on what Oba has been saying about him lately. With that, Lesnar hit Femi low and then nailed him with an F-5. After Brock had left the ring, Oba recovered, called him a "b**ch", and threw down the challenge for Femi vs. Lesnar III at SummerSlam.

Not only did Brock Lesnar accept that challenge, but he said the contest would be held within the confines of Hell in a Cell.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce would later make the match official, with it confirmed that Oba Femi is putting his guaranteed SummerSlam World Title shot - his reward for winning King of the Ring - on hold for now while he takes care of Brock over the weekend of August 1st and 2nd.

Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, what we saw on Raw between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar is a plan that's "been in place for a long time," and this was no last-minute decision or change-up to existing plans.

As for what's happening with Roman Reigns and the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, the end of Raw saw Roman accept a challenge from Seth Rollins for the company's Biggest Party of the Summer. It now just remains to be seen who Sami Zayn will be defending his WWE Championship against when SummerSlam rolls around.
