AEW Wrestler Says Leg Slaps "Make Him Sick"

Wrestlers who slap their leg during every kick drive this AEW man "nuts".

Attention, young pro wrestlers: NEVER slap your leg around one Bobby Fish. The AEW stalwart won't take kindly to it, and it might even make him feel "sick". Fish told the 'Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling' podcast that he can't stand leg slaps whatsoever.

They "drive [him] nuts".

Bobby believes the leg slap thing made sense when Shawn Michaels did it for his 'Sweet Chin Music' finishing move, and he didn't have a problem with 'Gentleman' Chris Adams doing the same for his own superkick finish. However, he thinks the slap sound most wrestlers go for is totally "overdone".

The AEW star says he "takes so much pride in throwing proper leg kicks". He wants them to look convincing, and reckons that phoney leg slap sound on every single one just undermines their credibility. That's also something most fans once associated with independent wrestling, but it's crept into major promotions like WWE and AEW over the years too.

Fish doesn't see that as a good thing. He wants more workers to "understand the actual art" of pro wrestling and use kicks properly during matches.
