AEW's Britt Baker Is In WWE 2K22... Sort Of

As if WWE 2K22 didn't have enough AEW wrestlers in it already...

WWE 2K22 is finally out this week and while the game has drawn largely positive reviews from critics, primarily for its massive improvements upon the disastrous WWE 2K20, its outdated talent roster remains an understandable bugbear.

Included in the game's character lineup are dozens of wrestlers who are no longer with WWE in real life, including several fired by the company during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some, like Keith Lee and Buddy Murphy, have since signed for WWE's closest competition in All Elite Wrestling.

Outdated rosters are to be expected with these games, which typically lag a few months behind. One wrestler nobody would have anticipated seeing in the game, however, is reigning AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker.

Baker herself isn't in the game, but her ring entrance is - as pointed out by Reddit user u/FinnBalur1.

This is actually a semi-regular occurrence for the series. The likes of Tessa Blanchard, Brian Cage, and Kris Statlander were all listed in a similar way for recent instalments, despite some of these people never working a day for WWE in their lives.

Still, 2K22 isn't the first time Britt has sort of shown up as part of a WWE product...
