Chris Jericho has been hospitalised with what has been described as a "non Covid, treatable health issue" during his band Fozzy's ongoing tour of the United Kingdom.

Fozzy were due to play a show in Swansea, Wales this evening. The venue, Sin City, announced that the gig was cancelled, having received the following message from the band:-

“Chris was checked into Hospital by doctors, with a non Covid related, treatable health issue. Regrettably the show on Friday in Swansea is cancelled and all tickets will be refunded. Will have updates on Saturdays show in Nottingham and Sunday’s show in London as soon as possible”.

No further details on Jericho's health issues have been disclosed, though we wish him well with whatever ails him.

The 51-year-old has been off AEW television while Fozzy tour the United Kingdom, having been temporarily written off after a backstage beatdown by 2point0 and Daniel Garcia's hands on last week's episode of Dynamite. This followed a confrontation on the previous week's Dynamite - and Jericho saving Eddie Kingston from the trio two nights later on Rampage.

AEW is yet to officially confirm when its first World Champion will return.
