Darby Allin broke his foot on this week's Dynamite and will now not be climbing Mount Everest in 2024.

The AEW daredevil's bout with Jay White at Big Business was to be his final match before setting off to climb the tallest mountain on the planet. However, an awkward landing during that contest has now forced the star to push back those Everest plans.

TMZ were the first to learn of the disappointing news, with Allin later taking to Twitter/X to confirm that his foot was legitimately broken and that Everest climb had been postponed to 2025.

The break was said to have occurred when Allin unleashed a senton from the top-rope to the outside. His foot was shown to have landed a bit awkwardly, but Allin still continued on with the rest of the match for a further ten minutes before White ultimately defeated the former AEW World Tag Team Champion.

The post match angle saw Allin then having his ankle "injured" by White and the rest of Bullet Club Gold in what originally felt like a way to write him off TV whilst he embarked on the epic climb.

Now, though, it looks like Darby's date with Everest will have to wait until next year.

But it's not all bad news - he's apparently going to let Tony Hawk do a trick off his cast for charity next week.

Every cloud...
