AEW's Hangman Page Smacks Down WWE Hall-Of-Famer Kane Over Ukraine
Champ throws major shade at wrestler-turned-pol while posting links to aid victims.
If you've been following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, you might have seen some wrestlers weighing in on the crisis, including CJ "Lana" Perry, who lived in Latvia as a child.
But former WWE superstar Glenn "Kane" Jacobs, who is the current mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, has been on a tweet spree lately, turning the Russian invasion into an opportunity to pontificate about the Second Amendment, ANTIFA, "cancel culture," toxic masculinity and the "radical Left." He then tweeted out on Sunday afternoon:
If you on the Left and are shocked by Putin's aggression, wake up, Sunshine. Historically in the real world, might makes right. Weakness (which is really what the Left is all about) is not a virtue. It's a fatal character flaw.(And, no, the US should still not get involved).

The tweet has gotten a lot of pushback, but there was no bigger clap-back than the one issued by AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page:

— HANGMAN PAGE (@theAdamPage) February 27, 2022
In one simple tweet, Page showed the disparity between the two men, using his platform to send links to help children and victims of this crisis, while Jacobs has been using the conflict to air right-wing grievances for the past couple days. (It's worth noting that current WWE superstar Cedric Alexander replied to Page with a "got 'em!" GIF.)
But the topper had to be Hangman's not-so-subtle dig by including a YouTube video of unprotected chair shots Kane has taken to the head. Politician or not, Jacobs seems to have swung pretty far off-base here and is taking some lumps from some in the wrestling community.
