AEW's Jon Moxley "Wants WWE To Be Awesome"

Moxley has had enough of the world's biggest promotion sucking.

In his own words, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is sick and tired of WWE "sucking."

Vince McMahon's market-leading promotion was an inevitable topic of conversation when Moxley joined the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online's Dave Meltzer and Garrett Gonzales for an interview this weekend, with the trio conversing for close to two hours.

Moxley said that he "wants WWE to be awesome," but gets angry when the product "sucks," because "they are the number one brand of wrestling to watch, they represent the sport, and when their product is embarrassing to watch, it makes all wrestling look bad, driving fans away from the sport."

Moxley has never been shy of criticising WWE since leaving the promotion in April 2019. His stance is earned: departing has helped transform him from a cheesy rodeo clown who wore a gas mask to avoid smelly fans to one of the world's most compelling wrestlers.

As well as holding AEW's top belt, Moxley remains NJPW's IWGP United States Champion and is soon expected to defend that strap against Bullet Club's KENTA, despite previous assertions that he wouldn't be able to put it on the line on American soil due to his AEW contract.
