In surprising move, those in attendance for last night's Northeast Wrestling Wrestlefest 26 show got to see former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley in action.

The Death Rider made his shocking appearance as the show opened, facing - and defeating, of course - Channing Thomas in the opening match of the night. This marks Mox's second in-ring outing since returning to action following his time in alcohol rehabilitation treatment.

Interestingly, Wrestlefest 26 had Bully Ray in the main event, where the WWE Hall of Famer teamed with NZO to battle Adam Scherr and Erick Redbeard. Bully recently caused controversy on Busted Open Radio for stating how Mox should've apologised to the fans for his AEW absence; comments that have been slammed by, amongst others, Renee Paquette, Paige and Mick Foley.

Moxley returned to our screens this past Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite, delivering an inspiring, passionate, ass-kicking promo where he laid himself bare and then put the AEW roster on notice that he was thirsty for blood. That appearance was followed by a match on Friday's Rampage, where he dispatched of 'All Ego' Ethan Page and seemed to set-up a mouth-watering Jon Moxley vs. Bryan Danielson rivalry.

Not content with cracking skulls last night, Moxley is in action again tonight, where he'll defend the GCW World Championship against Homicide at the stacked The Wrld on GCW show from the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom.
