AEW's Kenny Omega Calls Current WWE Wrestler The "Real Deal"

AEW's very own Kenny Omega was full of praise for this current WWE star.

AEW's Kenny Omega has called WWE's Kevin Owens "the real deal", and says KO has been that for "a long time".

The All Elite star quoted some footage of the pair working a bout at ROH's From The Ashes event in March 2010 on his Twitter page. Omega revealed that the match came together "on short notice", but that he was impressed by the-then Kevin Steen's work.

That hasn't changed since Steen turned into WWE stalwart Kevin Owens. If anything, Omega's respect for Kev had shot through the roof in recent years - he called it a "joy" to work with somebody so talented. Isn't it nice when pro wrestlers are nice to other pro wrestlers?

Naturally, loads of fans popped up in the comments to call for a rematch sometime in the future. That'd only be possible if Kenny left AEW for a WWE gig, or Owens ditched Triple H's company for Tony Khan's, and that doesn't look likely in 2023.

KO has yet to respond to the praise with a tweet of his own, but that doesn't invalidate Omega's compliment one bit.
