MJF comes to AEW rostermate Anna Jay's defence after nasty powerbomb bump on Rampage.
AEW World Champion MJF leapt to rostermate Anna Jay's defence on Twitter on Sunday, then deleted the tweet within seconds.
Reddit user u/erathegod captured it via screenshot before MJF could take it down. The 26-year-old wrote:-
What we do is real. Our lives can end in that ring in an instant. Anna Jay put her body on the line for your entertainment and you have the balls to criticize her. That's why I don't rush to please the internet fans. I rush to please my wallet.
Jay was at the heart of a brutal, bloody main event on last Friday's AEW Rampage, teaming with Tay Melo in a loss to Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale, capping an ongoing feud. The bout split opinion. To some, it was a visceral, violent war on par with TayJay's previous highlight bout with The Bunny and Penelope, though it attracted a degree of (mostly bad-faith, it should be stated) criticism too.
Soho bled bucketloads for the cause. Jay, meanwhile, took the bout's nastiest bump, eating a powerbomb from the stage to the exposed floor from Nightingale. A table appeared to be Willow's intended landing spot - unfortunately, she missed.
No firm updates on Jay's condition have emerged post-Rampage.
